Psalm 91:1-2 — 'He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'
Dwell and abide are heavy words. They don't mean drop in. They mean live there. Make God your address.
Notice the titles. Most High and Almighty. The names remind you that the one offering shelter has unlimited power. He can keep what he covers.
Refuge is where you run when danger comes. Fortress is the structure that holds when the attack lasts. God is both — instant safety and long-haul protection.
And trust is what makes the shelter real for you. The walls are there for everyone. Faith is what makes you step inside.
