Mark 9:23 — 'And Jesus said to him, If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.' This is a conversation with a father whose son has been tormented by seizures since childhood. The father is exhausted.

He says to Jesus: 'If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.' And Jesus catches the word. 'If you can!' He's almost incredulous. The problem isn't my ability. It's your belief.

'All things are possible for one who believes.' This isn't a blank check for every wish. It's a promise that God's power is fully available to people who trust him. The bottleneck is rarely God's ability. It's our willingness to believe he can.

And the father's response is one of the most honest prayers in the Bible: 'I believe; help my unbelief.' He doesn't fake certainty. He names the tension. He has some faith. He needs more. And Jesus answers that prayer too.

If you're struggling to believe, don't hide it. Name it. 'I believe; help my unbelief.' That's a prayer Jesus has answered for centuries.
