1 Corinthians 10:13: 'No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.'
Three truths in one verse. First: your temptation isn't unique. The enemy lies that you're the only one. Paul says you're not.
Second: God is faithful. He's actively involved, not watching from a distance. He's calibrating what you face to what you can bear in him.
Third: there's always a way out. Always. Sometimes the way out is a phone call to a friend. Sometimes it's walking away. Sometimes it's simply remembering who you are.
The promise isn't that you'll never be tempted. It's that you'll never be trapped without a door.
